As my wife and I both are movie buffs, we bought ourselves a new TV this winter. Smart TV with 3D and everything. Now, when we buy a new TV, what to do with the old one? We certainly can’t throw it away, hoarders just don’t. It is after all only seven years old, and thus fully usable.

Since I started this project I have been wondering what to do with it. I can’t really throw away a fully usable TV. I could have it as a second TV myself, but I can’t really fit it in our apartment. I could wait until we move, but that might be a while, and by that time a smaller skinnier tv is probably a better plan.

Now, however, the problem has been resolved. My parents need a second TV and are willing to take it, and I don’t need to go through the internal struggle of what to do with it. I guess that’s kind of cheating this project, but at least it’s gone. That’s the main point. Although the attic will little by little be getting cleared out, looking at how much crap we still have, it might be time to involve the wife some more in this project.
